I'm proud to be included with these talented folks. Some are good friends, some will be new friends. The Los Angeles music community always amazes me... come if you can. We are doing three songs each and the environment is a delicious far cry from the folk clubs of old. I may wear a suit...if I can find one. 

January 2016

In the process of setting a limited schedule for 2016. Continuing to write new songs, re-interpret some of the old. It's good for the spirit. Stay tuned for more of me if you can take it. The show on Thanksgiving at Fox Run in Sudbury, MA was wonderful. An attentive and appreciative audience and co-billed with Eric Schwartz. Who could ask for more?

I'm headed to beautiful Prescott, Arizona to do 2 nights at their new venue, decorated like a 60s Village Coffee House... I think I'm getting typecast....it could be worse...it could be disco. Hooking up with guitar/mandolin/fiddle/dobro whiz kid friend Reno McCormick and his wife Sheila so's to wow the crowd. Judy's along to sing back-up. I love Prescott...

This show was a great success but it's over. I left the flyer up here because I love it...ah memories...that's Doug Weston wearing the white jacket in the doorway. Paul Potash on the left talking to Walter Schorr. And that's me on the right under the Christy M sign talking to a young lady who has yet to come forward and claim her moment in the lens....

Post Gig Comment - October 12: 

It's been so long since I've done a show to the accompanyment of an Espresso Machine, I couldn't get the smile off my face. There's something about that environment that every folksinger recognizes and should have at some time in their career experienced. What a great time I had and I can't thank Tracy enough for inviting me to be a part of it.

If you zoom in on the lower right corner of the flyer to the left, it will become clear that I am headlining this event. My humility and deference to other artists shows no bounds. And by the way, if you are in the area and haven't heard Tracy Newman or Shaun Cromwell, stop in and be truly amazed at the company I keep.

 I'll be hosting the show, David Jackson at my side, singing songs old and new, and telling stories (some of them actually true) along with some very special guest artists. Clarence Treat will be there, Barry Kane (yes, him!) promised to show up. My friends Michael McGinnis and Eric Schwartz. I'll be remembering Greenwich Village days with Art and Paul, 
California and the Christies in songs and stories. By the time it's over, we'll be telling tales out of school, and answering questions that you've always been dying to ask. Other than watching election returns, what could be more exciting?

The show went beautifully. The house was packed and everyone who performed was a star. I had one woman come up to me and asked if I would do a house concert for her. At least that's what I thought she was asking. I thought it strange because she didn't use the word 'concert'. I wonder what that means. Anyway, it started me thinking about house concerts and it's not really a bad idea.
